Airlines Delta Air Lines and British Airways recently expanded their trans-Atlantic flights from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). This change brought a noticeable rise in international passenger numbers in April.
According to airport data, international travelers increased by 36 percent compared to previous months. This upturn followed Delta’s and British Airways’ decisions to add more flights and seats on routes to Paris and London.
British Airways adjusted its schedule on March 29, going from five London flights nightly to six each week. This service will keep running at the higher frequency through October. The airline also started using larger Boeing 777 planes on this route, boosting passenger capacity. These steps led to a 20 percent jump in travelers on British Airways flights from CVG.
The airport, located near Cincinnati, benefits from the added international connectivity. More choices for flights to Europe attract travelers and potentially strengthen the region’s ties with key global cities.
These developments show the growing demand for international travel from CVG. Expansion of routes by major airlines helps meet this interest and supports the airport’s role in global air travel networks.
