BNI Advances Financial Inclusion and Digital Payments at FinExpo 2025

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, known as BNI, has shown strong dedication to increasing financial literacy and expanding access to financial services across Indonesia. The bank took an active role in the Financial Expo (FinExpo) 2025, which took place from October 23 to 26 at Tunjungan Plaza in Surabaya. The event formed part of the Financial Inclusion Month activities organized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) together with several ministries and financial industry participants.

The theme for this year’s Financial Inclusion Month was “Financial Inclusion for All, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia.” BNI used the opportunity to reinforce its position as an inclusive financial institution that harnesses digital technology to reach a wider audience.

Rian Kaslan, BNI’s Director of Network and Retail Funding, described FinExpo as a key platform to bring the bank closer to communities. “We want more people to learn about, own, and use formal financial products and services, so they experience real benefits in their daily lives,” he said in a written statement.

During FinExpo, BNI showcased features of its wondr by BNI mobile banking application. The app is designed not just to facilitate daily transactions but also to help users understand how they spend and manage money through tools like wondr Insight. This feature helps customers track spending patterns and plan their finances more wisely.

BNI also highlighted the Life Goals feature in the app. This tool assists users in setting and achieving financial objectives such as saving for education, holidays, or home purchases. The feature uses an automatic debit system to encourage discipline and support long-term financial planning.

In addition, BNI promoted the use of digital payments, encouraging visitors to transact via QRIS and other digital channels. The bank emphasized the role of the BNI Agen46 network in broadening financial access, especially in Indonesia’s frontier, outermost, and disadvantaged regions, commonly known as 3T areas.

BNI Agen46 agents provide a range of banking services close to people’s homes. Customers can open savings accounts, deposit or withdraw cash, pay bills, transfer funds, and apply for government-backed People’s Business Credit (KUR) at Agen46 locations.

“BNI Agen46 is often the first encounter people have with banking and digital financial services. We strive to ensure that banking access extends beyond major cities to reach remote communities,” Rian added.

He stated that BNI plans to keep delivering innovative financial products and services. The bank aims not only to facilitate transactions but also to enhance personal financial management and improve welfare for all Indonesians.

“BNI remains committed to supporting national financial literacy and inclusion with products that suit community needs. Through wondr by BNI and the Agen46 network, we seek to offer broader, easier, and more inclusive financial access for everyone,” he concluded.

BNI’s role at FinExpo 2025 underlines its commitment to driving economic growth in Indonesia by making sure more people can access formal financial services and better manage their money. The bank’s efforts contribute to building a more prosperous and advanced nation.
