As a member of the EU, Greece allows visa-free movement for German citizens. Living costs are considered affordable; for example, a couple might spend around 3,000 euros monthly. Housing options vary from seaside homes on Corfu for 800 to 1,000 euros per month to smaller mainland apartments costing 300 to 600 euros monthly. The country scores 88 points for housing and overall living expenses.

    Once number one, Panama now holds second place with a total of 89.3 points.
