Troy Police Department Captains and Officer Retire After Years of Service
TROY, N.Y. — Two captains and one officer from the Troy Police Department have announced their retirement, marking the end of long and dedicated careers in law enforcement. The department honored Captain Thomas Bevevino, Captain Shane Kiley, and Officer Bob Gaudette at a recognition event held on Friday.
Captain Bevevino is concluding a 40-year career with notable leadership and a strong commitment to the community’s safety. Throughout his tenure, he took on multiple roles including Emergency Response Team member, detective sergeant, patrol supervisor, patrol commander, negotiation team lead, and Community Service Bureau commander. His contributions have left a lasting impact on the department.
Captain Kiley served the department for 20 years. He held positions as a patrol supervisor, detective sergeant, and captain assigned to the Technology and Grants Unit. Kiley played a key part in modernizing the department’s operations during his service.
Officer Gaudette also retires after 20 years. He was part of the Troy Police Motorcycle Unit and provided leadership within the Emergency Response Team. Additionally, Gaudette served as a patrol officer and worked as a Task Force Officer with the FBI’s Safe Streets Gang Task Force.
The Troy Police Department recognized these officers for their years of service and dedication to protecting the community. Their retirements mark significant milestones for both the department and the city.
