WestJet and Icelandair Announce Codeshare Agreement to Enhance Travel Between Canada and Europe

Pending regulatory approval, the partnership will build on the existing networks of both airlines. WestJet plans to strengthen its transatlantic presence by launching new nonstop flights from Winnipeg and Edmonton to Keflavík later this summer. The airline will also resume seasonal service from Calgary. These routes will act as gateways to Europe by connecting with Icelandair’s extensive European services.

It marks Icelandair’s first codeshare partnership with a Canadian airline, simplifying journeys between Canada, Iceland, and mainland Europe.
